My Selection Of Straightforward Major Motion Picture Write Ups

By Phyllis Floyd

It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. As technologies have advanced, downloading dvds from movie download sites is becoming very common. Let's look at what you might find to watch using a movie download site.

The Abandoned: An American adoptee gets snared in an endless maze of terror while, after getting a bizarre invitation, she goes back to Russia to find out where here roots are. In her dark and scary childhood home, she is tested by untold evil powers and troubling mysteries from her past. This film is a European throwback, in the horror genre. Anastasia Hille, Karel Roden, Valentin Ganev, and Carlos Reig-Plaza are the main cast Nacho Cerda directs (2007 Horror)

Mickey Blue Eyes: Alarmingly unfunny characteristic based on the renowned nearsighted animation personality refreshed in the energized credits, with Greg Burson filling in for Jim Backus as the voice of Magoo. Nielsen does his best unconditionally, although the pointlessly difficult structure-in reference to the theft of a dear cherry-just goes on and on. And there are a tremendous amount of mean spirited characters for a babies' film. Cast includes Hugh Permit, James Caan, Jeanne Trippet, Leslie Nielsen, Jennifer Gamer, Malcolm McDowell, and Miguel Ferrer. (103 minutes, 1999)

The Good Shepherd: Clutching tale of a spiritually censored youthful guy who is enlisted at Yale to do espionage work throughout WW2 and then to join the nascent Medial Knowledge Firm, even albeit it means an astronomical sacrifice to his clan life. Damon is phenomenal and enclosed by well-selected entertainers in every part, no matter how tiny. Cast includes Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, Tammy Blanchard, Billy Crudup, Robert De Niro, and John Turturro. (167 minutes, 2006)

Let's Go Marines: Boredom in regards to 4 cadets, their joke ventures on leave in Tokyo, and their dramatic confronts on Korean battlefield. Cast includes Tom Tryon, David Hedison, Barbara Stuart, and William Tyler. (104 minutes, 1961)

Nightmare on Elm Street Part Two: Continuation of first film's tale (set 5 years later) has an adolescent boy plagued by fantasies of the demonic Freddy, who is motive on taking over both his mind and body so he might murder all the town's adolescents. Hideous visual affects over power this horror film. Cast includes Mark Patton, Kim Myers, Robert Rusler, Hope Lange, Marshall Bell, Sydney Walsh, and Robert Englund. (84 minutes, 1985)

Kill or Be Killed: Karate champions lock limbs as ex-Nazi tutor desires reprisal contrary to Japanese counterpart who bested him in a contest throughout WW2. This is a cut above the typical martial crafts fodder. Cast includes James Ryan, Norman Combes, Charlotte Michelle, and Danie DuPlessis. (90 minutes, 1980)

The Nun's Story: Classy filming of Kathryn Hulme novel, with Hepburn the nun who serves in Belgian Congo and later leaves convent. Colleen Dewhurst, as a homicidal subject, is exhilarating. Cast includes Audrey Hepburn, Peter Finch, Edith Evans, Peggy Ashcroft, Dean Jagger, and Mildred Dunnock. (149 minutes, 1959)

Valkyrie: Colenel Claus von Stauffenberg is a loyal soldier who has watched his country go bad under the rule of Adolf Hitler. He eventually joins forces with the German Resistance, a civilian group dedicated to fighting Hitler. From this group a plan is hatched, called operation 'Valkyrie', designed to end Hitler's life.

Pulp Fiction: This is Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece work. The story weaves around four separate, yet intertwined event. There was an accidental killing, the crime bosses wife's overdose, the boxer who didn't throw the fight, and pair of small time crooks trying to rob a restaurant.
